Terry's Rollover Accident - March 21, 2009

Terry was involved in a one car rollover accident on Saturday, March 21 at approximately 4:10 pm. He had just barely turned left off of their home street unto 4000 W, was doing about 25 mph when he looked down for something, at the same time must have steered to the right and the next thing he knew he was airborne. He hit a mailbox that didn't give and he hit it at just the right angle that the car was catapulted up in the air and flipped over landing on the hood/roof and slid for a few feet. All of the neighbors heard the accident and went looking. The first person on the site was Kelly Stark (neighbor on the corner)and she called 911. She thought Terry was dead. The ambulance arrived and determined that he had internal injuries so the fight for life helicopter was called in. The helicopter landed at the Hibbert church parking lot just a mile from the accident. Terry doesn't remember the accident or the life flight. Upon arrival at the hospital he underwent a series of tests and a full exam. Terry does not have any injuries - no broken bones, no internal bleeding, nothing but a broken thumb and several bruises. He's lucky - this is his second rollover accident in a year. His last accident occurred Feb 4, 2008.
