A Week to Remember

We had a very eventful week! On the 4th of July the boys were able to stop knocking early so we planned to go to the fireworks in D.C. As I was driving to pick them up a tornado blew threw the area and apparently I was right in the middle of it. It was raining so hard that most people on the road were either pulled off to the side or driving slow with their hazard lights on. With that kind of weather we figured the fireworks would be canceled, so I turned around to go home. Luckily I was listening to the radio when they said that the storm was going to hit and move on and the fireworks were still a go. We decided we couldn't miss this opportunity so we gathered up our friends and took the metro downtown. I thought the mall would be crowded but the storm had scared most people away. We had no trouble finding a spot behind the Washington Monument. The fireworks were awesome!

Since going to the beach with my family, Theron has been itching to go back. This past Sunday promised good beach weather, so off we went. My sister and I coordinated rides and food for about 20 people to come with us. There was talk of a second trip before we left the beach.
