Stoned - Not Stoned

I’m feeling better and back to work full time after having had gallbladder surgery on the 6th . It didn’t take me long to realize just how much one uses their stomach muscles. Getting in and out of bed was the hardest part of it all. Two weeks out now I am feeling pretty good. I met with my surgeon this morning and all of the pathology test have come back in the clear and I’m no longer “stoned.” However, I do have a few souvenirs if anyone is interested in seeing them.

The highlight of returning to work ½ days last week was being able to go into the cadaver lab with Dr. Kent Davis who proceeded to show me just what the gallbladder looks like. I was surprised at how small the gallbladder actually is, not much larger than one’s thumb. One of my stones is the size of a small marble – no wonder my gallbladder wasn’t working right.
