Ryleigh had her 3rd birthday on August 9th. She was very adamant about having a princess party and I wasn't quite sure what we should do for that. I finally came up with the idea of a tea party since my sister worked at a boutique that did that sort of thing. Ryleigh dressed up as Sleeping beauty, her two friends, were Cinderella and Tinkerbell. The girls had a blast! We played "Pin the Glass Slipper on Cinderella,"ate a beautiful cherry chip cake with pink frosting, and drank strawberry lemon-aid out of tea cups. The owner of the boutique saved the boys from that embarrassment and gave them each soda in a plastic cup. The girls had a tough time sharing Ry's gifts, but all took turns putting money into the piggy bank Grandma Shattuck got Ryleigh.
I wish I had more pictures, but all I have is what other people have given me (Thanks Lark!!). I unfortunately left our camera in my purse, but got lots of video. I don't have a firewire cable to put the video on the computer, but when I do, I'll post it. Thank you to everyone who came. Ryleigh's still talking about it!!
