Ding Dong - Hello Bishop:

The door bell rings last night around 7:00 pm. It's Bishop Lee Dexter. It was really nice of him to stop by to see mom. Then I realized in a hurry that he didn't come just for a visit, unbeknown to me, mom had asked him to stop by and visit with her about the funeral program! So, mom, dad, Robin and I all sat down with him and got er planned. That was a tough task. Mom actually handled it very well. I look over to my dad and he's white as a ghost, gripping the side rails of the chair so hard that his knuckles are white and the tears are just flowing like a river. Every time he tried to speak, he just cried. We got to the Pallbearers and mom started to list everyone and then out came Brantley's name. I had to tell her that Brantley would not be able to come home as he is still serving his mission. That's when mom started to cry, realizing that she won't see him again. She promptly listed him as an Honorary Pallbearer.

Until you have gone through this process, you have no idea how you'll handle it. For me, some tears but I have been amazed at how the Lord has given me comfort and strength through this whole process thus far. I have these few precious weeks with my mother and I want to be happy with her and enjoy her and I want to enjoy this journey. I want to see the blessings and the Lord's hand in this process. I believe that we will not only witness a lot of very spiritual experiences but will participate in them as well. Lark
